you can blindly trust in fox and wis, I choose to ask bigger-picture questions. I don't think I know more than wis does, I also don't think wis really knows much at all based upon the absolute neglect and ghost-leadership of many of its products.

Why? It's irrelevant.

I don't, but it's their game and their business they can run as they see fit.

Maybe Fox likes the tax write off they garner from owning an unprofitable business. Maybe they're now trying to maximize the write off potential.

If you really need a logistical reason then feel free to think of it as representing intangible factors not accounted for in recruiting actions. Maybe he had a good repoire with the coach, trainer, or his potential teammates, maybe he had a cousin that went to the school, or he liked that there was a McDonalds across the street from his dorm. Maybe he thought the girls were better looking on one campus. Maybe he likes academics and one school had a better chemistry program than the other. There are any number of reasons you could make up that aren't accounted for in the recruiting process. Most times those intangibles won't make a difference ... And sometimes they will.
