EEs are really difficult to fill now... Topic

let's just get rid of them. too much issues involved with EE's in this new system.
yep - with the recruits spread out now, the reason that EE's was created went away. Plus EE's were invented to declaw the top franchises, in many ways, it never really worked anyhow as the top guys just reloaded, now that will be much harder. EE's mostly hurt the mid and lower franchises, who were lucky enough to get a top ten guy, then had to let him score 15 plus ppg right away, and usually lost the player, while the top guys would barely play the same player or lets say barely let the same player shoot much, hence that player was more likely to stay longer.

So I'd be fine with dumping EE's.

You'd basically be dumping EEs not because it's realistic or good for the game but to accommodate a new recruiting system with major flaws that apparently can't seem to be worked out or overcome.

If if I was at a restaurant and my preferred order continually came out wrong I'd quit sending it back and telling them the changes to make to my order and instead order something entirely different. Or maybe go to a different restaurant.

I don't mind your idea either, but EE's to me was introduced as a way to punish great teams, not to be realistic. I'm Ok with them, but EE's tends to punish good teams, not great teams.

The easy fix would be to eliminate two sessions, and go back to one, post season, just a it was. This by the way would cut in half the time complexity issue too.

OR - agreed about eliminating the two recruiting sessions, it's a convoluted system to address issues the new system essentially creates, and as much as I keep saying no one ordered this dish, the kitchen has already cooked the dish, and this is the one we are getting

If this is already known, my apologies. Do you get additional scouting resources if you lose a player to ee?
Yes you get the scouting resources for your EEs but honestly do you really think that any amount of scouting resources is going to help a good D1 team find a *suitable* replacement (a diamond in the rough) that would have to sign late/whatever, or is undiscovered with 3 divisions searching through every damn recruit available?

I'd challenge you would even get a chance to random roll unless you are lucky enough to have someone match up locally versus some lower level prestige school.
No, I don't think I'd be able to find a suitable replacement, especially out here in Hawaii. EEs should probably be nuked at this point.

I think you can still get good players late. I filled my my one scholarship in the first period. I was sure I would lose a couple of EE's so once I unlocked visits to my first recruit, I move all the AP's to two guys listed as late. Ended up with three EE's and have signed my two lates already. I think we should test more before we totally scrap EE's.

(sarcasm/humor alert) Are you sure? Everyone else says it is impossible. Do you really think lining up back-ups is a good strategy just because it worked so well for you? You're just going to have to quit being so reasonable if you want to fit in.

I didn't notice any humor...
7/23/2016 10:20 AM
I wouldn't expect you to.

Because you're not funny?

Wha...? What? Did you hear something? Nah, I guess it was just the wind in the pine trees.

I don't post very much, but have posted a few times that if we get rid of EE's, we solve a big problem in the new beta. This is not the NCAA, or the NBA, so we don't really need EE's at all. This is a "fun" HD game run by WIS. So let's get rid of EE's, they just create more problems then they're worth. This game should be about "FUN", not realism.

There are no plans to get rid of EEs.

Just spud getting off on the sound of his own fingers hitting the keyboard.
Hey Spudtard - how have EEs impacted you in old HD vs. the new BETA? Just curious about your experience since you talk like you know so much about it.

Because you decided that was the ONE thing you would keep the same in your new world while everything else was changing?
