You know the second amendment was written in the 18th century when the redcoats might break down your door any time and demand taxes. While the constitution is the constitution much of it doesn't really apply to modern times. I love people that say "where does it say in the constitution about a right to health care?" Well of course it doesn't say that because when the constitution was written, they used to throw leeches on you when you had the flu and if you got a paper cut it was 50/50 whether you'd die from infection. Obviously health insurance was even invented. Things have changed in 200 years but republicans haven't really noticed

Sounds to me like they were talking about protecting a fledging nation from further invasion not a guarantee that every retard with a CC number can go on the internet and buy a gun with no background check
