EEs are really difficult to fill now... Topic

One option that I think would benefit everyone, those replacing EE's and finding backup options for lost battles, is being able to offer scholarships right off the bat without unlocking them. This would only take place in recruiting session 2 as I still see value in keep those at certain level during session 1. This of course could open up a new can of worms, but it would allow teams to catch up more quickly where time is limited and players are seeming to sign while we are trying to unlock those actions.

Just a thought.

I was willing to make adjustments to the recruiting schedule, but the results of the poll didn't indicate that it was a high priority.

Seble - one suggestion that "seems" the simplest is to let them declare before round 1 of recruiting starts.

The ONLY thing you would be changing is removing the impact of post season results.
"Seems" like not a huge deal but would
1) still allow for 2 recruiting sessions
2) still allow for EEs
3) open up the roster slots and recruiting money when it's actually needed.

Is there a another negative that I would be missing?
Doesn't look like anyone has commented on this suggestion, but I will. It looks like a useful idea for Seble to scrutinize closely. You may have hit upon a good solution.
I recommended that like almost 2 months ago.

Seble already commented on it here.
Yeah, Seble commented on the idea: " I'd rather not have them declare early because a part of that decision is where they end up on ratings and how their teams do in the postseason. It would change the dynamics of that process." That makes sense as far as it goes, but certainly doesn't sound like anything set in concrete. EE's could just be declared earlier. If EE's are going to be a continuing source of complaints, maybe Seble will have to learn new ways like all of us; that is sort of what happens in beta. Or just put his foot down and say "no, and I don't want to hear any more about it."

Recruit generation isn't the problem, there are the same number as always. Some coaches may need to adjust expectations when dealing with EEs. You may not be able to fill that spot with an equivalent player.
That's astounding. Recruit generation has always been a major problem. It's not the number of recruits, selbe, but the quality of them and, equally importantly where within the 50 states they are generated.

Agree, If there was just a little attention on improving the core attributes of recruits it would eliminate the majority of recruiting issues.

I'm not looking for more Five or Four stars, but if players 25-60 at their positions had more realistic Speed/Ath along with the ability to develop the necessary skills at their positions, then you'd make mid-majors better and give those not at the elite schools a chance to actually compete.
