EEs are really difficult to fill now... Topic

Given the HV cap has made a large portion of the battles near the 20 HV limit, since EEs only provide less than 15 HVs for even a local recruit, it is next to impossible to replace what was a very good player with even a mediocre one. Getting a single EE is probably the worst case paired with a single opening for period #1 as you would of likely spend a good portion of your period #1 resources trying to fill that opening, leaving you with just 3K to fill the new one.

I do see you in a battle for a top recruit. You and another team at very high. Maybe you will land him.

That was the guy I did with just a single opening which I had to go pretty much all-in on after I realized I was getting no where with the #1 guy just 20 miles from campus (losing to Stanford who was 2000+ miles away) after I tried sinking 10 HVs into and still was VL early in period #1...

So yeah this has been a trying recruiting period for Seton Hall in comparison to last season when I pulled in the #2 class.

It just seems with just 3K recruiting $$$$ and how the cap is promoting large battles, do you think you could find someone you would *want* to replace an EE spot on your roster (I would of tried for Venables but I already have 6 sophomores on my roster so I can't sign him). And putting in 10 HVs into Massey didn't get me above Low so that was a no go either.

And I don't have the option of using that new $$$$ to throw at the top recruit either since I'm already capped.

Might end up taking 2 walk-ons...

let's just get rid of them. too much issues involved with EE's in this new system.

I'd personally like that myself as well.

I say dump them as well, someone should create a poll for us to vote on.

problem with a poll for that is we are probably going to get guys who have never played DI voting in it

I like the idea to drop EE's.

Haha probably. Some people who don't play D1 have awfully strong opinions on how it works.

Amount of resources aside, WHEN the resources are allocated is still a huge problem. I had two EEs, and I put every single attention point from them (plus a few left over from session #1) into a unsigned guy as soon as the second recruit session started. Didn't even unlock a scholarship before he signed. If the point of the 2nd period is to leave guys left for teams with EEs, you need to give teams with EEs time to actually start recruiting them before they sign.

I am totally against dropping EES. It needs to be taken care of, but dropping EES would make the game less enjoyable and a lot less credible.

If this is already known, my apologies. Do you get additional scouting resources if you lose a player to ee?

Yes you get the scouting resources for your EEs but honestly do you really think that any amount of scouting resources is going to help a good D1 team find a *suitable* replacement (a diamond in the rough) that would have to sign late/whatever, or is undiscovered with 3 divisions searching through every damn recruit available?

I'd challenge you would even get a chance to random roll unless you are lucky enough to have someone match up locally versus some lower level prestige school.

A much better, more realistic, and more intuitive adjustment than scrapping EEs is just adding more recruits for the second period. Guys who start at zero for everyone.
