Seble--possible loophole to close? Topic

This last recruiting session, I had two guys with preferences to play immediately. I offered 25 minutes, then did all my HVs to get the multiplier effect, then replaced the promised 25 minutes with 10 minutes. If there was a negative effect here, it was small enough not to notice.

I'm not sure what happened under the hood, but I think I got preference credit for 25 promised minutes while only being held to the promise of 10. Is this what happened? And, if so, should this loophole be addressed?

Going from 25 to 10 minutes would generate pretty decent negative credit. I'd have to see the details to know if it cancelled out the boost on the home visits.

This was with both signings at Tennessee, if you want to check. It's possible that I just threw in enough effort to stay at very high even with a major penalty

Yeah, you had so much credit that the negative hit was overcome. If it becomes an issue, we can increase the hit for withdrawing promises. The other alternative would be to remove the ability to withdraw promises once they're processed.

once you offer a certain amount of minutes to a guy you shouldn't be able to offer him less minutes later. The option should even be available.

Agreed. That makes sense to me.

That's a good possibility as well.
